My France Trip: Bordeaux
Bonjour Bordeaux!
Recently my family and I went on a vacation to France. We started our trip by taking a train from Paris to Bordeaux.
The train ride took about 4 hours. Bordeaux was where we officially started our trip. The wait for the train was rather long but my sister and I entertained ourselves by playing with portable games.
Before we knew it, the train had arrived. My father had booked us First-class seats that were on the second level and it was quite cozy! We had to lug the luggages up the flight of stairs to the second level though. The table was extendable and we adjusted the arm chairs to make ourselves comfortable.
Upon arriving in Bordeaux, we stayed at the Aquitain Hotel which was near the train station. My dad wanted to stay near the train station as the car rental company was inside the train station itself.
When I looked out of my bedroom window, I imagined myself as Agular de Nerha from Assassin's Creed, hopping from roof to roof . Great rooftop views eh?
We then walked along rue St Catherine, a 1.2 km long pedestrian-only street. It was completely refurbished between 2000 and 2003 in a project by Jean-Michel Wilmotte. Since we were all exhausted from travelling the whole day, we had a quick dinner at an Italian restaurant along rue St Catherine. My parents commented that our first meal in a new country was always overpriced and somewhat crappy. LOL.
That was Bordeaux. Can't wait for the next leg of our journey!

After resting for a bit, we headed off to the Place de la Bourse. It is one of the most recognizable places in Bordeaux. It was built from 1730 to 1775.
My sister and I had a great time running across the mist. We even saw several little kids running butt-naked around the place!
